Welcome to the Ellis County Hot Checks Online Payment System. If you have a returned check filed at the Ellis County Hot Check Office, you pay calling our office.

The steps to paying for a returned check filed with our office are:

1. You may call the Ellis County Hot Check Office at 972-825-5040 to make a payment with a debit or credit card.

2. Or you may come to our office. We accept only cash, money orders or cashiers checks. No personal checks will be accepted.

3. Our offices are open between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Terms and limitation:

All checks and fees must be paid in full. No partial payments will be accepted when paying with a debit or credit card. Payment of your checks and fees does not guarantee a warrant recall or a dismissal of a case. You are encouraged to check with the Ellis County Hot Check Office to see whether a warrant remains active.

Your payment may take 3 to 5 work days to be posted in our records.

Upon completion of the debit or credit card transaction a receipt will be mailed.
