NEW POLICY

Effective March 1st, 2010, the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office will be posting Notices of Estray Livestock on this website.

Pursuant to Chapter 4, Title 121, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925, lawfully impounded livestock will be sold at public auction on the date and time posted on this page of the Official Ellis County website. If you have knowledge of someone who may be missing livestock, please check the Estray-Auction page of this website. If this could possibly be your animal, contact the Civil Division of the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office at 972-825-4967. No other Notice will be published.

Other personal or real property may be listed on this website for auction.                                 


                                       NOTICE OF IMPOUNDMENT OF ESTRAY

Date: March 06, 2026

On the 5th day of March A.D. 2026, I impounded the below-described estrays:

Animal Type: 2 Goats Breed: Nigerian Dwarf Cross

Color: Black, Brown & White Size: Approximately 65 lbs.

Sex: Male Age: Appx. 2-4 years old

Brand, Earmark, Identifying Characteristics: Both have horns. Mixed colors.

Location of the Estrays when impounded: 3000 Block Shady Creek Circle Red Oak, TX. 75154

Reporting Party: Jennifer Moreno

And, on the 6th day of March A.D. 2026 I filed NOTICE OF ESTRAY with the Ellis County Clerk’s office of Ellis County, Texas.

Notice is hereby given that if the ownership of said Estrays is not determined by the 23rd day of March A.D. 2026, said Estrays will be sold at Public Auction/Sheriff’s sale at: Ellis County Livestock Pens, 133 Hoyt Road, Waxahachie, TX; Sale starting @ 10am on Tuesday March 24th, 2026.

COUNTY OF ELLIS

BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority on the 6th day of March A.D. 2026 personally appeared Deputy J. Cozby #404 in and for Ellis County, Texas who being duly sworn, deposes and says: That on the 5th day of March A.D. 2026, I was notified of the above-described livestock running at large in Ellis County, Texas at the above-described location and pursuant to the stock laws of the State of Texas, Chapter 4, Title 121 Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925, impounded said livestock, same being impounded at the above-described location.
