Road Closures

Current Road Closures due to High Water or Construction as of February 25, 2026, at 7:00 AM.

If you know of roads that have High Water over them and there are no barriers across the road, please notify the Sheriff’s Office, the Emergency Management Office, or your Road and Bridge Precinct Office in your area. Please do not attempt to cross a road with high water on it. STAY SAFE! DON’T DROWN, TURN AROUND!


PRECINCT 1:

Ellis County Precinct 1 is implementing an emergency road closure on Ebenezer Road at Grove Creek. This segment of roadway will be closed until further notice at the Grove Creek Bridge. Please use alternate routes, follow posted signage, and watch for our flaggers to ensure safety in the area.

  •        At 321 Ebenezer Rd. at Grove Creek

(Enter/Exit Hwy 878- to access the north side of Ebenezer Road) There will be no through traffic.

  •       At 630 Ebenezer Rd.  at Grove Creek 

(Enter/Exit off Wilson Road to access the south side of Ebenezer Rd) There will be no through traffic.

Oates Rd. has been reopened to through traffic. It will still be rough going through until the final work is complete. Thank you for your patience.


PRECINCT 2:

No road closures at this time.


PRECINCT 3:

TXDOT has closed the 500 block of Harris Rd. at Hog Creek for the foreseeable future between Dillworth Rd. and Morgan Rd.  

 

The 2300 block of Old Maypearl Rd. between S. Oak Branch and Granda Casa has been reopened.
